Alajode is a travel blog that focuses on everything related to ecotourism and responsible travel, including slow travel and the digital nomad lifestyle.
While we do our best to deep dive into as many travel destinations as possible, there are only so many places in which our (small!) team of travel writers can live and work remotely for an extended period of time.
This means we can only ever cover a limited number of digital nomad topics and is why we love to hear from experienced nomads who want to write for a digital nomad blog and share their experience.
Blog posts can be about digital nomad destinations, personal challenges, tools for digital nomads, how to travel responsibly, tips for how to save money as a digital nomad or anything else that comes from your unique experience.
If you can offer useful insight and fill in any of the gaps in our existing content to this blog as useful as possible for Alajode readers, we’d love to hear from you!
Please note: While we welcome pitches from nomads who want to write for a digital nomad blog, we do not accept guest posts on general travel themes or any other topic. If you are a brand looking to advertise on Alajode, please check out our blog advertising options.
Why write for a digital nomad blog?
When I first became a digital nomad, it was a bit of a blind leap of faith and intuition.
It had to be – everyone I told about my nomadic lifestyle assumed I was on holiday, backpacking or living off a non-existent trust fund.
Aside from the 4-Hour Work Week, there wasn’t a whole lot of information out there for aspiring digital nomads, so I decided to make this website both a travel and digital nomad blog. After all, travelling slowly and immersing yourself in a new culture for an extended time is a great way to travel more responsibly!
Fast forward a few years – and past the year 2020 in particular – and the digital nomad lifestyle isn’t uncommon.
In a world where most people have now been forced to work remotely, working online is no longer met with the same suspicions. There are also more services catering to digital nomads all over the world.
Does this make the lifestyle easier or harder? I’m not sure.
While it’s certainly easier to find long-term accommodation and co-working spaces in most cities, it can be harder to cut through all of the noise that now exists. It can (I assume) also be harder to break out of the nomad bubble and, you know, actually travel.
This is all my own speculation, of course.
I can only speak from my own experience and I’m sure others are having wilder different experiences to my own – which is why I invite you to share them here on Alajode.
Whether you have a similar need to share, are looking for a creative outlet, a way to reach potential clients for your own business, build a writing portfolio with a by-line on a credible website or want to establish your authority on a certain topic, there are countless reasons why you might want to write for a digital nomad blog.
Perhaps you’re even a digital nomad writer with your own digital nomad blog? Whatever your reason, we’d love to share part of your digital nomad journey with Alajode readers.
This blog frequently ranks as one of the best digital nomad blogs around and reaches thousands of digital nomads every month. And, for the first time ever, we’re opening it up to guest contributors for the first time.
If you want to write for a digital nomad blog and share your own personal experience, please get in touch with Alex: partnerships [at] alajode [dot] com.
